Deeg, located in Bharatpur district, was the center of power of the Jat rulers in the 18th-19th century. The palaces of Deeg were built by Maharaja Surajmal and his son Jawahar Singh. Deeg Palace was the summer capital of the Jat rulers of Bharatpur rajasthan, this palace is 32 km from Bharatpur in Rajasthan, These groups of buildings situated between the two main lakes of Gopal Sagar and Roop Sagar are locally famous as Jal Mahal. This building is made of light pink colored sandstone. A mixture of Jat and Rajputana styles is often present in the architecture of the palace. Thousands of small and big fountains have been made in this palace, there are three gates to enter the palaces, out of which Singh Pol is the main one.
